Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Scribe Quest. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
What Scribe Quest does
Scribe Quest captures conversations you choose to record, turns them into transcripts and structured notes, and keeps them in your workspace. Some features run on your device and are free; cloud transcription, AI analysis, saved audio and meeting intelligence require a Scribe Pro subscription.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been used without your permission. You must be at least 16.
Recording and consent
This is the important one. Recording laws differ by country and state, and many require the consent of everyone taking part. You are solely responsible for obtaining that consent and for complying with the law where you are and where the other participants are. Scribe Quest gives you the tools to record; it does not give you the right to.
Your content
Your conversations, recordings and notes remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the service for you — to store, process, transcribe and display your content back to you and to people you share it with. We do not use your content for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Acceptable use
- Do not record people unlawfully, or without consent where it is required.
- Do not use Scribe Quest to harass, deceive, or infringe others’ rights.
- Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
- Do not resell the service or share one account across an organisation.
Subscriptions and billing
Scribe Pro is billed monthly or annually in advance through Stripe, the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you subscribe. It renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Purchases made through Apple or Google are governed by their refund policies; for purchases through Stripe, contact us.
Third-party services
Scribe Quest uses Google Cloud and Firebase for hosting and storage, OpenAI for cloud transcription and AI analysis, Stripe for payments, and — only if you connect it — Google Calendar. Connecting Google Calendar is optional and read-only; see our Privacy Policy for exactly what is read and why.
Availability
We work to keep Scribe Quest running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and we may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
Transcription and AI summaries are generated automatically and will sometimes be wrong. Do not rely on them as a verbatim record or as professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scribe Quest is provided “as is”, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Privacy and data. We may end your access if you materially breach these terms.
Changes
If we change these terms materially we will update the date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
